Root Canal

Root canal, also known as endodontic treatment, is the procedure of disposing of injured, infected or dead pulp from the tooth. It is a dental process used for treating contamination at the centre of a tooth. It enables to restore and save a badly damaged or inflamed tooth. The infection is due to bacteria that live within your mouth.

The process starts with removal of the infected pulp and any abscesses, which may be present, is also drained at this time. After this, the root canal is cleaned & shaped ready for the filling. A temporary filling is poured in and the tooth is left to settle. At the next visit, when all the infection has cleared, the tooth is permanently fill.
